Vacation Watch Checks
If you are leaving town, the Hampstead Police Department offers a vacation check program to help safeguard your residence. This service provides added peace of mind during extended absences. We will make every effort to check your home daily, and you may opt to receive alerts after each check.

Directed Patrol Checks
HPD Officers patrol the Town of Hampstead, monitoring businesses and residences for suspicious activity or threats. We may not be aware of all situations that require special attention. To request a patrol check for your business or residence, please email police@hampsteadmd.gov or call the department during regular business hours.
Medication Waste Drop Off Box
The Hampstead Police Department offers a secure drop box for residents to dispose of unwanted or expired medications. The drop box is in the station lobby, directly inside the front door, and is available during regular business hours. Please call ahead to confirm lobby access.
NOTE: Only non-controlled drugs and schedule II, III, IV, and V controlled substances are acceptable for drop box disposal. Do NOT dispose of medical equipment, needles, or liquids in the drop box. Consult your doctor or a pharmacist about how to properly dispose of these items.
