RFB- Water Distribution System Improvements 2025

The Town of Hampstead invites bids for Water Distribution Systems upgrades for Country Park Drive and the Panther Water Tower. 

The Contractor will provide labor, materials, and equipment to install temporary bypass water service system and re-construct the water line as well as remove and properly dispose of all Asbestos Cement Pipe.

The contractor will remove the existing water main and install new water main, blow-off assembly and water services per specification in the same location. The Contractor will also be required to properly dispose of the Asbestos Cement Pipe.

The contractor will furnish and install the following at Country Park Drive.

       o   300’ of 6” DIP

       o   12 – 1” Copper Service Lines with New Curb Valve and Curb Box

       o   1 – ¾” Meter Pit with 1” Copper Service Line

       o   1 – Blow Off Assembly

       o   Provide Bacteriological Report

The contractor will furnish and install the following at the Panther Water Tower:

       o   1- 6” Hydrant Valve

       o   1- Kennedy K-81 Fire Hydrant

       o   1- 12” Valve

There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid conference on December 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Town Hall, 1034 S. Carroll Street in Hampstead where attendance is required for the entirety of the meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to explain the scope of work and answer any questions. Contractors are welcome to examine the work site before and after the pre-bid conference. The Contractor is responsible for identifying the location and conditions of the site. Failure to do so will not relieve the Contractor from the obligations of the contract. Exhibit “A” has been provided for clarification of site location and requirements.
