2025 Town of Hampstead Election Day

 

Information you should know about the Town Elections:  Three (3) members of the Town Council will be elected.  All terms are for 4 years.

Voter Registration:  If you are a registered voter in the County and a resident within the incorporated Town limits, you are eligible to vote in Town elections. If you are not registered to vote, you may do so online by visiting https://elections.carrollcountymd.gov/  or voter registration forms are available at the Town Office located at 1034 S. Carroll Street, Hampstead, MD. The completed form should be mailed to Supervisor of Elections Office, 300 South Center Street, Room 212, Westminster, MD 21157.  You can also request registration forms by mail at the above address, or by calling the Elections Office at (410) 386-2080. Registration will close on Monday, April 14, 2025.

Qualifications of Voters:

1. You must be a citizen of the U.S.
2. You must be at least 18 years of age on or before Election Day.
3. You must have resided within the corporate limits of the Town of Hampstead for at least 30 days prior to the Election.
4. You must be a registered voter.

 

 Qualifications of Town Council Candidates:

1. You must have resided within the incorporated limits of the Town of Hampstead for at least 1 year immediately preceding the election and must reside within the corporate limits of the Town for the duration of the term.
2. You must be at least 25 years of age.
3. You must be a qualified voter of the Town of Hampstead.

 

 A candidate for office must file a nomination packet with the Town by 4:30 P.M. on Monday, April 14, 2025. Nomination packets are available beginning on Monday, March 3, 2025, at:
